Oyster Trestles stripping as the tide recedes
These two young men have something to be smiling about, both are waiting for the 28a bus in downtown 'Poll a Phuca', An Rinn. On the left is Diarmid O' Fhoghlú Helvic, accompined by Cahal Glavin who lives on the Main Street in Grange Co Waterford. Diarmid has just received news from the mammy that he has achieved greatness in his leaving cert, and, Cahal obtained his degree in Arts.
Diarmid- 'Well, Cahal how's it cutting?
Cahal - 'Sucking diesel, Diarmid boy, sucking diesel!'
Diarmid - 'The auld hair is tossed again with you, why don't you get it cut nice and short like me?'
Cahal - 'Look boy! Everyone in Grange loves my hair...If I got it cut baldy like yours...sure id be run out of town...the baldy look is OK for Helvic, but Grange is a little more up market... I wish the bus would come now...I'm looking forward to the spuds and a bit of bacon after a hard day with 'Mike the Mighty!!'
