Boat race day
25th August marked the the kick - off of Heritage week in County Waterford, and in Ring in particular where a 'Ceiliúradh na mBád Traidisiúnta' (Celebration of of Traditional Boats' in An Rinn.) was hosted. Two boat races took place from Baile na nGall Pier to Helvick Pier and back naturally, I took a few photo's to mark the event...not all good- I might add, but I present them here for all those contacts around the Globe who are always keen to learn anything about their homeland in Ring. Click on the images to get a larger and more detailed picture....AND...please give the page a little time to load!
